Biography

Welsh BAFTA winning
writer & director.

Keri Collins is a Welsh writer and director whose work blends memorable characters with strong, commercially minded concepts across comedy, crime drama, thriller and family entertainment.

As a screenwriter, Keri has been commissioned to write and develop projects for Netflix, BBC, Fox, Brock Media, Clerkenwell Films, North Road Pictures, Broadway Video/John Goldwyn and eOne. In 2026 he was commissioned to rewrite a feature animation sequel. He was named a Deadline Hollywood Writer to Watch in 2024; his family action-adventure feature SUPERGRAN, based on the iconic 1980s television series, topped The Brit List 2023, an industry-curated selection of the UK’s most exciting unproduced screenplays, with a then-record number of votes.

As a film director, Keri’s micro-budget action comedy feature CONVENIENCE starred Ray Panthaki, Adeel Akhtar, Vicky McClure and Anthony Head. The film received multiple four-star reviews, including from Empire and HeyUGuys, and was acquired for streaming on Netflix from 2016–2026. His work on the film earned him the BAFTA Cymru Breakthrough Award.

As a TV director, Keri has directed many hours of comedy and drama for the BBC, Sky and Fox, with a particular flair for performance-led work and vast experience of improvised comedy. Clips from Soft Border Patrol and Tourist Trap—both improvised comedies—have attracted more than 70 million views online. He has also directed branded comedy content for The Sunday Times and Mars/M&Ms.

Keri is currently developing an extensive slate of original film and television projects, continuing to build on a body of work that moves confidently between high-concept entertainment, subversive comedy and emotionally grounded drama.
